South Plainfield, NJ, September 19, 2003 – Crisdel Group, Inc., has been awarded the contract for the second phase of construction on the yard improvements project in Port Elizabeth, NJ, contracted out by APM Terminals. “In addition to being an important project, this undertaking continues our company’s successful partnering with APM Terminals,” according to Frank Criscola, Jr., Executive Vice President of Crisdel Group.
Crisdel previously completed the first 50-acre phase of the project, in the fall of 2002. “Working under a rigorous schedule, we were able to compete Phase I on time,” said Criscola. “Phase II has an even more demanding schedule, covering reconstruction of 75 acres of a marine container terminal and requiring extensive quality control.” Phase II of the project includes demolition of an existing building, pavement removal, mass excavation, drainage, construction of reinforced concrete RTG runways and tie-downs, water distribution, installation of high mast light poles, and asphalt paving.
