TETERBORO AIRPORT
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
The construction contract consisted of the rehabilitation of Runway 1-19 including, but not limited to, the milling and replacement of the asphalt surface course, the overhaul of the electrical infrastructure including the electrical duct banks and electrical base cans associated with the runway and cross-taxiways lighting systems for; centerline lights, edge lights and touchdown zone lights.
The contract staging restricted Crisdel to complete its work on weekends as to limit the interruption of the corporate jet carriers. Stringent PANYNJ and FAA Specifications had to be met for asphalt surface smoothness, asphalt surface grade tolerance and asphalt density compaction in order for acceptance.
