RT 133 AND HIGHTSTOWN BYPASS BRIDGE
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
As part of the NJ Turnpike Interchange 6 to 9 Widening Program, Crisdel Group Inc. teamed up with Ferreira Construction Company to form Ferreira-Crisdel, JV to construct the new Route 133/Hightstown Bypass Bridge. The new Route 133 Bridge will be constructed over Route 33 to support a grade separated, direct connection from Route 33 to the new Interchange 8 Toll Plaza.
In order to connect the reconfigured Interchange 8 with the intersection of Routes 33 and 133, new access ramps will be constructed along with providing drainage improvements, utility relocations, and new lighting and traffic signal modifications.
Major Work Items: Roadway Excavation, Embankment, Geofoam Lightweight Fill Material , Vertical Wick Drains, Temporary Sheeting, Retaining Walls (MSE and Wire Wall), Steel HP 14×89 Piles, Reinforcement Steel, Structural Steel, Structural Concrete (for Substructures, Footings, Back walls, Bridge Decks, Parapets and Median Barrier), Storm Drainage, Traffic Signals, Highway Lighting, Hot Mix Asphalt Paving, Overhead Sign Structures, Guide Rail and Landscaping.
